Learn the fundamental elements of programming while creating your own games for Android devices. We will use MIT’s block-based programming environment, App Inventor, to create software that uses sensors built into modern mobile computing devices. App Inventor allows students to make their ideas real while reducing the barrier to entry for new programmers. It’s also a great introduction to the software platform used in our Honors Introduction to Computer Science class, giving future Knights a fun and friendly introduction to the first course in the St. Mary’s Ryken Computer Science Scholars Program pathway.
