Transportation

St. Mary's Ryken students come from Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Prince George's, St. Mary's and King George counties. 

Important Details about Transportation:

  • A late bus (activity bus) is available for students who reside outside of St. Mary's County. It departs the St. Mary's Ryken campus at 5:30 p.m. every school day when athletic practices or activities are occurring. 
  • The average roundtrip transportation fee for students who live outside of St. Mary's County is $3,400 per year. The fee can be paid in full or in 10 monthly installments. The Late/Activity bus transportation fee is included with round trip registration only. 
  • Students may sign up for transportation for the school year or a semester.

Carpooling

Current families have the option to communicate with other SMR families within a certain range of your home address within the Veracross Parent Carpool/Household Directory. Contact information for families who have opt'd to the directory will be accessible and you may reach out to them to arrange carpool options for students.
