Our college-like campus setting promotes maturity and independence and prepares students for life after high school. Various spaces for personal reflection, studying and group work are located on campus, both indoors and outdoors.
The Media Center offers students a space to work on projects, enjoy quiet time, work on group assignments and participate in study groups. In addition to the thousands of print materials available for check out in the Media Center, digital materials are available for both academic and personal reading through our Overdrive digital library. Our partnership with the St. Mary’s County Public Library System provides all SMR students, regardless of their county of residence, with access to all of the print and digital resources in public libraries throughout the state.
The MakerSpace in the Media Center gives students access to equipment and guidance needed to imagine, design and create. From dynamic presentation materials, stop motion, green screen videography to circuitry and 3D modeling, the ever growing MakerSpace allows students to bring their ideas to life.
