St. Mary's Ryken is thrilled to welcome 170 students to the Class of 2022! 

Coming to St. Mary's Ryken from 40 middle schools in Maryland, the average GPA for the incoming freshman class is 3.51. Sixty-two merit-based scholarships were awarded to this group of well-rounded and talented youth. Thirty-eight students were accepted into the SMR Scholars Program (with pathways in Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedicine, Global & International Studies, Humanities, Performing Arts and Visual Arts).

SMR awards merit scholarships to incoming freshmen in the areas of academics, leadership, service, fine arts and more.

For the Class of 2023, the SMR admissions application is due on December 14 and the scholarship application opens on December 15. The scholarship award process is very competitive due to the large number of applications received. 

Auditions/Presentations (Leadership and performing arts) for the class of 2023 will occur in January 2019 and the date will be announced in the fall. Requirements for each scholarship can be found by visiting https://www.smrhs.org/scholarships.
