Academics

Our holistic college preparatory, faith-based education is tailored to our students’ needs and ambitions. SMR students receive a rigorous college preparatory, honors and Advanced Placement curriculum in a values-based environment.

Our faculty is committed to being accessible to students and parents, and has a genuine interest in the students’ success. Tutors and mentors are available in all subjects.

Freshmen carry a full roster of seven classes. Six classes are held daily, with one class rotating out each day. The last period is called X-hour (Xaverian hour) and, during this time, students participate in clubs, meet with their academic adviser or receive extra help from teachers. This schedule design also helps to prepare students for college.
