INTERNSHIP AND CAREERS

September 11 - CEO/President of Sabre Systems, Mr. Glen Ives. Mr. Ives manages over 400 employees and works to build their contracting business in the local community and across the country. He manages and supports all contracts for Sabre. He shared his story and offered advice for our future leaders as well as opportunities available for our Knights in southern Maryland.
September 18 - Enid Sanchez Bubb - owner of C3 Innovations, shared her journey and offerd advice to our students about engineering and owning your own business.
October 16 - Lloyd Montgomery - who works in the Integrated Battlespace Simulation and Test Department at Patuxent River Naval Base. Lloyd talks about his experiences and the opportunities they have for students to intern at their facility.
November 13 - David Downs - SMR alum, D.J. Downs ’98. D.J. is living the Xaverian values of compassion and service to others as the deputy director of Catholic Charities. Progress of Peoples Development Corp., the affordable housing development affiliate of Catholic Charities, in Brooklyn and Queens, New York. Learn about his education and career in the non-profit world.
January 8 - Kevin McDevitt - Mr. Kevin McDevitt is a successful lawyer who is located in Leonardown and is a 1993 graduate of SMR. Mr. McDevitt talks about his journey to becoming the lawyer he is today.
January 15 - Jon Wynn, Sr. - Jon Wynn, Sr. is a member of the United States Secret Service. He talks about his career in the Secret Service, responsibilities and what it is like to be on the presidential detail of the Secret Service.
January 22 - Shaun O'Hara, a NFL network color analyst. Mr. O'Hara played 11 years in the NFL and was an All-Pro in his last three and won XLII with the NY Giants. Shaun talks about his transition from playing football to working as a broadcaster and analyst on ESPN Radio and the NFL Network.
