Yoga is for every body – regardless of flexibility or fitness levels. My comprehensive classes address the needs of the body, mind and spirit, allowing for a peaceful state of being. I combine creative sequencing with a spirit of playfulness and intuition. You will leave the mat refreshed, nourished and inspired. I completed my Hatha Yoga 200-hr RYT course in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2017.
Yoga has been an important part of my life since I was a student in college. I came to it as a tool for dealing with stress and anxiety. I incorporate movement and breath as part of my counseling techniques and specialize in yin, restorative, and yoga for athletes. I have been a certified yoga instructor for several years and have taught a course at St. Mary's Ryken for girls as well as conditioning for athletic teams. I currently teach in the Leonardtown community at local gyms and boutique fitness centers, as well as offering private lessons.
I began practicing yoga in 2004 to improve my overall health and especially to improve my sleep. I’ve been teaching yoga since 2010 to a variety of groups ranging from Pre-K students to adults. I have an Intermediate Yoga Certification, Restorative Yoga Certification and have completed the 200 hours of Yoga Instruction Certification.
