Interested in Becoming a Host Family?

Quality host family situations are essential for our international students' success.  Host families give their student the opportunity to learn and experience American culture. In turn, your family will not only gain a new family member, you will also learn about a different culture, its values and traditions, language, food and more.  Many families create enriching, lifelong relationships with their international student.  Consider how your family connection may impact the life of one of our international young people in need of a "Home Away from Home."

Thank you for your interest in hosting one of our SMR international students.   Becoming a host family is a wonderful experience.   

Host family essentials are:

• Provide a private bedroom with bed, desk, and dresser
• Provide transportation for school, activities and travel (bus can be arranged)
• Provide supervision and support - medical care, academic support, communication with school about concerns, to name a few responsibilities.
• Consent to security background check and home visit
