1:1 iPad Program
SMR is committed to staying on the cutting edge of technology and using technology to enhance teaching and learning. To prepare students to take their place in a world that is increasingly global and continually changing, SMR developed the 1:1 iPad program; established a student, faculty and parent portal; and created a 100 percent Wi-Fi-enabled campus.
Our 1:1 iPad program fits the mission of SMR in promoting individualized student growth by providing a tool in which every student’s learning can be personalized. The iPad provides students with an educational hub for their schedule, email, events, course discussion groups and grades.
All students are required to purchase an iPad for daily use at school. iPads may be purchased on your own or through the school iPad purchase program. Additional information about how to purchase iPads through the SMR program are made available every Spring.
iPad Requirements for Current Students:
If you currently own an iPad and plan to use it, the minimum requirements are 64 GB, it must be the current generation and able to run the most recently released iPad OS. The Wi-Fi only model is preferred. An iPad mini is not acceptable.
