Dual Enrollment Opportunities

St. Mary’s Ryken offers a selection of on-campus courses taught by our faculty that are eligible for Dual Enrollment through the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) or Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU). For a fee, students may earn both high school and college credit.

Students first register for the course at SMR, followed by a secondary registration with either CSM or NDMU. These courses are typically taken during the junior or senior year.

Students enrolled in the following courses have the opportunity to earn both high school and college credit.

• Honors Biology
• Honors Human Anatomy
• Introduction to Programming
• Personal Finance

This is a wonderful opportunity for students to get a head start on their college journey while still at SMR!

Though NDUM cannot guarantee that every credit transfers to every single college a student might possibly attend, as a fully accredited four year institution of higher learning, a rejection of credits from NDUM can happen, but is exceedingly rare.
