Senior Christine Shatrowsky Accepts 22nd Annual St. Mary’s College Phi Beta Kappa Book Award

Christine Shatrowsky ’20 was selected from among St. Mary's Ryken’s talented National Honor Society members to be honored by the Zeta Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa during the St. Mary’s College 22nd Annual Book Awards ceremony.  Students, one from each St. Mary’s County High School, are selected by a panel of educators at the school level for their academic excellence, breadth of study, good character, and service to the community. 

At the award ceremony, Acting Provost Dr. Laraine Glidden shared each student’s achievements.  Each awardee received 2 books, specially chosen by the St. Mary’s College PBK Chapter for them based on their academic interests.    Christine received a copy of Loving Andrew: A Fifty-Two-Year Story of Down Syndrome and The Disordered Mind: What Unusual Brains Tell Us About Ourselves.
