St. Mary’s Ryken announced Ryan Guy as National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalist
St. Mary’s Ryken announced Class of 2025 member Ryan Guy has been named a semifinalist in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program.
“We are incredibly proud of Ryan's achievement as a National Merit Scholarship Program semifinalist,” said Dr. Catherine Bowes, St. Mary's Ryken Principal. “This recognition is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and academic excellence. Ryan exemplifies the values of our school community, and we are excited to see all he will accomplish in the future.”
The nationwide pool of semifinalists, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state. A semifinalist must have an outstanding academic record throughout high school, be endorsed and recommended by their high school, write an essay, and earn SAT or ACT scores that confirm the student’s earlier performance on the qualifying test.
In February 2025, SMR and Ryan will be notified if he earns finalist standing.
We are very proud of Ryan’s honor!
