Our holistic college preparatory, faith-based education is tailored to our students’ needs and ambitions. SMR students receive a rigorous college preparatory, honors and Advanced Placement curriculum in a values-based environment.

Arts
We promote student talent and leadership through a range of classes and clubs that help foster an understanding of the arts. The Fine Arts department provides the student with a better understanding of the visual and performing arts through academic study and performance.
Athletics
St. Mary's Ryken offers multiple opportunities for student-athletes to develop values such as leadership, integrity, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship. The athletics program educates student-athletes to persevere through adversity and compete with dignity and pride. Student-athletes consistently strive to be as good a person as possible both on and off the field of play. St. Mary's Ryken is committed to sponsoring an Athletics Program that provides its student-athletes with the opportunity to benefit from a well-rounded high school experience. We are proud to offer 26 varsity sports programs including 37 teams.
Student Life
St. Mary's Ryken supports a well-rounded education that includes a robust fine arts curriculum and various extracurricular activities.
Campus Ministry
Campus Ministry is the heartbeat of SMR! As a Catholic school, SMR helps to enrich the spiritual and sacramental growth of our students through campus ministry programs and community service activities.

The Campus Ministry Department encourages and supports students’ spiritual growth and development. Students are able to seek spiritual formation through Mass, theology class, daily prayer, service opportunities, mission trips, retreats and spiritual direction.

Congratulations to our 2020-21 XBSS Stewards!

St. Mary's Ryken recently announced the new Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School (XBSS) stewards for the 2020-21 school year. The XBSS Stewards are a group of seniors who act as a living witnesses to Christ in our school community. The stewards serve on behalf of our school and are called to keep the spirit and traditions of the Xaverian Brothers alive by spreading excitement about faith, service and our Catholic identity. It is one of the biggest honors of a SMR student to be chosen as a XBSS Steward!
