Girls Lacrosse Team Continues Program’s Upward Trajectory into Playoff Run

On Friday, May 1, 2026 the St. Mary’s Ryken Knights Girls Lacrosse team concluded their regular season tied for third place in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC), continuing the program’s upward trajectory.

The Knights compiled an impressive 10-5 overall record against one of the region’s toughest schedules.

Alongside a highly competitive WCAC slate, the team tested itself in notable non-conference matchups against Bullis School (W), Sidwell Friends School (W), Archbishop Spalding High School (L), Saints Peter and Paul High School (W), and St. Catherine’s School (W). They were also invited to the 33rd Annual St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School (SSSAS) Girls Lacrosse Spring Fling, where they earned a win over National Cathedral School.

Heading into the WCAC playoffs, the roster features 24 players—including eight already committed to play at the varsity (DI, DII) and club collegiate level—along with three team managers.

The Knights will open WCAC playoff play on Tuesday, May 5 at 6 p.m. at MIL Family Field on the campus of St. Mary’s Ryken for their quarterfinal matchup.

Come out and support the Knights as they begin their postseason run!
