Jason DeLucco '98 is new Dean of Academics

 

St. Mary's Ryken is pleased to announce Jason DeLucco '98 as our new Dean of Academics.

Mr. DeLucco is taking on the role of our Dean of Academics for the 2024 - 2025 school year. He was previously the Dean of Faculty and Student Development.

Dean DeLucco has served on SMR's Faculty where he stewarded the first years of three new Advanced Placement courses. He has also served as our Education Technology Systems Administrator, supporting our students and faculty's use of Veracross.  Dean DeLucco is an adjunct professor at St. Mary's College of Maryland and has led training for the College Board for Advanced Placement instruction and test scoring.  He is a graduate of the University of Delaware (Political Science, Education) and holds a master's degree from Notre Dame University of Maryland (Leadership in Teaching, Administration, and Supervision.). He is a member of the St. Mary's Ryken Class of 1998. Mr. DeLucco and his wife Shelley '94 have three sons Jack '23, Sawyer '26 and Adam. 

Of his appointment, Dean DeLucco says, "I am looking forward to continuing to support the students, parents, and faculty in this new role.  I look forward to supporting SMR's strong tradition of providing students with academic challenges in a nurturing environment."
