Congratulations to Ms. Tessa Silvestro, SMR Theatre Director, who won an Outstanding Feature Actress WATCH Award!

Congratulations to Ms. Tessa Silvestro, St. Mary's Ryken Theatre Director, who won an Outstanding Feature Actress WATCH (Washington Area Theatre Community Honors) award for her performance in “Boeing, Boeing” at the Port Tobacco Players. Ms. Silvestro received the highest score of all the featured actresses in the 65 plays that were judged during 2018!

WATCH is an award event for Washington Area community theatres. There are 27 theatres that are part of WATCH. 10 judges score aspects of each show.

Ms. Silvestro has been employed at St. Mary's Ryken since 2010. In the fall, she completed her Masters in Directing through Roosevelt University of Chicago College of Performing Arts. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Towson University in Theatrical Design and Production. Tessa has worked as a director, stage manager, designer, painter and actor for theaters all over the state of Maryland.
