Volunteer Opportunities

Scenes from the 2009 Volunteer Thank You Reception
Dear Parents,
Throughout the year, I am amazed by the dedication of our volunteers who work tirelessly on events such as the Annual Spring Gala, the Phonathon and the Golf Classic. These events and others are crucial to our ability to provide our students with the tools they need to grow academically, morally, socially and spiritually.
Whether you give of your time, your talent, or your treasure, we invite you to be a vital member of the St. Mary's Ryken family. Please take a few moments to look at the list of volunteer opportunities and see where you are able to lend a hand.
For those of you who have volunteered in the past, thank you for helping us fulfill our mission and our goals. For those of you about to dedicate precious hours from your busy schedule, thank you. By volunteering, you show our students what a priceless gift it is to give of yourself - truly a perfect example of the Xaverian philosophy.
I look forward to working with each of you in the year ahead.
Thank you and God bless,
Mary Joy Hurlburt
President
Fundraising Events
The proceeds from all of these events directly benefit all of St. Mary's Ryken students and volunteers are crucial both to plan and to run the event. Each event will have a chairperson, so if you see one that especially interests you, please consider stepping up to be the chair.
The event will be held at Lake Presidential Golf Course in Upper Marlboro. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Volunteers stuff registration bags, register players, and help the event run smoothly that day. Contact the Advancement Office to volunteer.
