Liturgy & Sacraments
MASS: Mass at St. Mary's Ryken is celebrated daily in the Chapel of Charity. School-wide Liturgies are celebrated at least once a month and/or on Holy Days of Obligation as recognized by the Catholic Church.
CHAPLAINS / SPIRITUAL DIRECTION: Our school chaplains are available daily. Students, faculty, staff or administration who wish to meet with one of our chaplains can stop by the Office of Campus Ministry to set up an appointment.
ADORATION: Monthly Eucharistic Adoration at St. Mary's Ryken is held on the First Friday of every month when school is in session.
DAILY PRAYER: Morning Prayer, as prayed from the Liturgy of the Hours, is offered daily at 7:55 a.m. in the Chapel of Charity. Midday Prayer, from the Liturgy of the Hours, is offered daily the last 10 minutes of each lunch period in the Chapel of Charity.
We are blessed to have Rev. Scott Woods serving as our school chaplain along with Deacon Bob Connelly and Rev. Kleinstuber who assists with the Retreat Program. They, together with other priests of the Archdiocese of Washington help in many ways to bring the fullness of the Gospel of Christ to our student community.
