Admissions Timeline 2009-2010

  
September to October

SMR admissions representatives visit Catholic elementary schools throughout
Southern Maryland.

October to May

Shadow Days are held. Contact the Admissions Office to schedule.

November

1     SMR Open House from 12-3 p.m.

December

4     Deadline to apply for financial aid through the Archdiocese of Washington and the
       Private School Aid Service (PSAS). All applications are on the SMR Web site at
       www.smrhs.org.

12    High School Placement Test (HSPT) given at SMR. The HSPT test on this date is 
       for students who attend a public or other non-Catholic private school. Students
       attending a Catholic elementary school will take the test at school. If a student misses
       the HSPT at their school, he/she may take it on this date at SMR. All students must
       pre-register to take the test; no walk-ins are permitted.

15    Deadline to apply for SMR Fine Arts, Leadership and Laurie Collins scholarships

February

6      Scholarship auditions and interviews at SMR

25    Admission decision and notification of financial aid letters are mailed

March

7      SMR Open House from 12-3 p.m.

11    Freshman Registration from 4-6 p.m.

13    Freshman Registration from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

April

TBA  SMR Placement testing for students wishing to test out of a math or foreign language
