REQUIRED Text:   Larson, Hostetler, Edwards, Calculus of a Single Variable, (seventh edition) provided

REQUIRED Materials:  TI-83 (or higher)Calculator,  5 section spiral notebook with pockets, or binder with pockets, pens and pencils. 

 

Course Description

 

AP Calculus is a RIGOROUS, college-level Calculus I course.  Topics include, but are not limited to: pre-calculus review, limits, derivatives and their applications; related rates, optimization, integrals, and their applications and other related topics.  ALL students taking this course will take the AP EXAM in May for possible college credit.

STUDENT EXPECTATIONS:

 

1.         You are to come to class in uniform and be ready to work; notebooks, homework, pencils/pens, and calculators out on desk.

All homework is to be done in your notebook.  You are expected to do all homework assignedYou will have one day for every day absent (up to one week) to present makeup work.  otherwise NO LATE HOMEWORK ACCEPTED!!!!!!!   A syllabus will be provided, so stay current, or work aheadJHOMEWORK WILL BE UPDATED EVERY 7 DAY CYCLE ON THE WEB.

 

  1. You are to follow and uphold ALL the criteria in the student-parent handbook including attendance, and the SMR HONOR CODE.

 

  1. You are to respect the property and rights of all individuals in the class; no disruptive behavior.
