Be sure to include your name on any of the following assignments.
Choose one of the following: Display - Make it pleasing to the eye. It should have a good display of words or visuals that help to clarify some or several Geometry topics that have been covered this school year. (samples: congruent triangles, SOHCAHTOA, Pythagorian theorem, ratios, etc.) Your name must be on the back. Poster paper, typing paper, computer paper, or construction paper may be used. Board Game – Be creative but it must be related to Geometry topics. Include all necessary pieces (dice, etc.) in an envelope. Math Funnies – They must be mathematical in nature. You need to give the proper credit to the author. You must have at least ten pages besides the front cover. This is in booklet form. You can make your own booklet or use a folder with loose-leaf holders. There must be a cover page with your name. Page one must have a short narrative explaining what you think of your collection. You must have at least three different sources. The funnies cannot all come from the same source. Create a Test – The Geometry test must have at least ten questions. The answer key with work must be provided. The problems can be ones we have done; however, no more than three can come from the same paper. Put a place for the name and date at the top. Identify the topic being tested at the top. Make sure directions are clear. Mobile – Display words or concepts that are connected in some logical way. Make sure the general topic from Geometry is denoted. Put your name on it somewhere. Power Point Presentation – Hard copy is turned in. Be prepared to show me the presentation outside class time. It must be an interesting presentation of any Geometry topic and be accurate. Creative Writing – Write an original story, poem, or song about a Geometry topic or Geometry class. It must have a minimum of twenty lines. It must be legible. Word Search – Must contain at least 20 Geometry words. You must provide a second copy exactly like the first. One must be ready to give to a student to fill in. The other must be filled in with the answers highlighted. Crossword Puzzle - Must contain at least 20 Geometry words. #1 down cannot be #2, #3, etc. across. You must provide a second copy exactly like the first. One must be ready to give to a student to fill in. The other must be filled in with the answers.
Optional 100 TEST GRADE FOR EVERYONE IN THE GROUP
1. Must involve more than one student so minimum of 2 students. 2. Make appointment by 4/18/08 for oral presentation of one item from above that has already been written. 3. Practice 4. If the group does not keep the scheduled appointment, it cannot be rescheduled.
