  1. Go to www.turnitin.com
  2. Click on New User
  3. Select type (student
  4. Put in the id.# and password provided by your teacher. There are no spaces between the word {all lower case} and the number for the passwords.) Period 1 - id# 2367316 and password is period1; Period 2 - id# 2367319 and password is period2;  Period 5 - id# 2367326 and password is period5; Period 6 - id# 2367328 and password is period6; Period 7 - id# 2367332 and password is period7
  5. Give a complete and current e-mail address
  6. Enter a password between 6 and 12 characters, containing at least one letter and one number.  You may use your SMR password .
  7. Enter a secret question and answer in case you forget your password.
  8. Enter first and last name
  9. Accept the rules.
  10. Successfully completed.  End wizard and go to login if you have a paper to submit.

Instructions for submitting a paper

  1. Log in
  2. Choose a class
  3. click on submit next to the assignment title.
  4. Title your submission
  5. Browse for your paper to wherever you saved it. E.g, My Documents; A drive; removable drive (jump drive) and click submit.
  6. You will be asked to confirm that you have submitted the correct paper.
  7. You will then be given an ID number that you should copy down as proof of submission.
