Meet student Athletes

Drew Willis

Senior, Drew Willis, was named a captain of the SMR wrestling team. Drew has had a standout-wrestling career here. Last season he finished sixth in the state, was a WCAC finalist, and named to the All-Southern Maryland Team and All County Team. As a senior on the cross-country team, Drew was named second Team All WCAC. Drew maintains a GPA over 4.0 while being a member of the Senior Leadership Team and NHS. He is also Chief Financial Officer for FBLA and an XBSS Steward. Among the colleges Drew is looking to attend are the United States Naval Academy and Johns Hopkins University.

Erin Leddy

Sophomore, Erin Leddy, lettered in Varsity Basketball and Softball as a freshman. This year she became the varsity soccer goalie, after not having played since fourth grade. Erin’s athletic prowess is apparent when she steps on the field and court. What you may not know about her is that she maintains a 3.8 GPA and is a member of the Key Club. Erin improves her athletic skills in the off-season as well, playing AAU basketball and travel softball with the Bayside Blues.

John Flowers

Senior, John Flowers signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at West Virginia University next year, after being heavily recruited by other top Division I programs. As a junior, John was honored as the All-Extra Basketball Player of the Year and third team All-Met by the Washington Post. He was named first team all-conference by the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference. This year he is a pre-season McDonald’s All-American nominee and was named to Street and Smith’s magazine pre-season honorable mention team. John is a member of the SMR leadership Team and has a 3.6 GPA.
