Fine Arts/Literature

The Fine Arts Department at St. Mary's Ryken provides the student with a better understanding of the visual and performing arts through academic study and performance. Intensive artistic training and performance opportunities are available to students who wish to focus and hone their gifts. The arts students are guided by faculty who are accomplished, practicing professionals each in their own field.

A wide range of study and practice opportunities are available for students to take all four years if they desire:

  • Instrumental Music: Concert Band, Jazz Band, String Orchestra, Ensembles
  • Voice
  • Chorus
  • Dance
  • Drama
  • Visual Arts (this program also includes Advanced Placement courses)

Knight Visions is the literary magazine of St. Mary's Ryken High School. Published annually, the magazine showcases poetry, short fiction, creative non-fiction, and photography created by St. Mary's Ryken students.
